Lorraine Kelly said goodbye to her viewers on ITV’s morning show Lorraine back in July. She hasn’t been seen on her self-titled series since then with Ranvir Singh and Christine Lampard stepping into her shoes. Now, the time has almost arrived for Lorraine to get back to work, much to fans’ delight.

When does Lorraine Kelly return to ITV?

The 61-year-old presenter hasn’t been on Lorraine for several weeks now.

This is because she is on her usual annual summer break which many of the ITV hosts also have.

This Morning’s Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby have done the same with married couple Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford taking their place.

While Kelly has been off, Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh and Christine Lampard have been holding the fort.

It is almost time for the regular host to make a comeback to her popular show.

She will be returning to work in a matter of days with the Scottish host set to be back on TV next week.

More precisely, Lorraine Kelly will be returning to Lorraine on Wednesday, September 1.

From the sounds of it, there are plenty of plans in place for what’s going to keep viewers informed and entertained over the next few months.

Monday, September 6, will see the continuation of former Love Island star Dr Alex George’s HEADucation campaign.

He is the UK Youth Mental Health Ambassador for the government and will carry on his work of looking at the best ways to improve mental health education in schools.

The award-winning campaign Change + Check which fights against breast cancer is going to be back.

This time, there will be a stunt to celebrate the 49 women whose lives have been saved since the campaign started in 2019.

Another addition to the show will be Lisa and Friends, with home cook, presenter and actress Lisa Faulkner cooking alongside some of her famous female friends.

Fashion expert Candice Brathwaite is also marking Black History Month.

Viewers are going to see her travel to Barbados to trace back her roots and get more of an understanding of her grandparents’ journey to the UK as part of the Windrush generation.

In a statement, Kelly said: “I’m back! Feeling refreshed and revitalised, and more than ever I can’t wait to get back to doing what I love best.

“The team has worked tirelessly over the summer to produce an autumn full of the very best and most inspiring content.

“I can’t wait to share it with the viewers at home each weekday morning.”

Lorraine is available to watch weekdays on ITV.
