What time is Cold Feet series eight on ITV tonight and what has happened to Tina and Adam so far?

But when is the new season on and what has happened to Tina and Adam so far? Here's everything you need to know…

When does Cold Feet series eight start on ITV?

Cold Feet series eight continues TONIGHT (Monday, January 28, 2019) at 9pm.

Fans can catch the new series consisting of six hour-long episodes on ITV.

The filming of the season began back on March 19, 2018.

As far as we know, the entire cast will be making a return.

It seems to have been a no-brainer for ITV to bring back the series as its return in 2016 and 2017 were wildly popular.

The latest series attracted an average of 5.1 million viewers in its 9 pm prime time Friday slot.

Is there a trailer?

A trailer for the eighth series of the show was released in late November.

The trailer, shown above, features a funny compilation of reactions from the characters.

What happened at the end of series seven?

Viewers were not happy with one of the developments at the end of the last series, namely, that Adam – played by James Nesbitt – dumped Tina.

Luckily though things were looking up for the relationship between Peter, played by John Thomson, and Jenny, played by Fay Ripley, as they renewed their vows.

Meanwhile, David, aka Robert Bathurst, grew closer to Nikki – and his ex Karen, Hermione Norris, seemed to be getting on well with her new boyfriend from the bookshop despite the fact he lied to her about having kids.

When did Cold Feet start and what's it like?

Cold Feet's first series aired in 1997, with five lovable characters – Peter, David, Rachel, Adam, Karen, and Jenny – introduced.

It had a similar dynamic to US sitcom Friends but with more tragedy and gritty moments, plus surreal sequences.

In series five, Rachel – Adam's wife – was dramatically killed in a car crash, allowing actress Helen Baxendale to bow out.

She had also played Ross' unfortunate fiancee Emily in Friends.

The gist of the show in all the series seems to be that Nesbitt's character Adam cannot find happiness with one woman, while the two couples he's friends with have frustratingly on/off relationships.
