BBC One will be giving EastEnders fans their weekly Walford fix with some of the most classic episodes in the show’s history as the soap goes on hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.

What classic EastEnders episode will be airing next?
On Tuesday, June 23, BBC One will be airing the most-watched episode of any UK soap ever, which saw Den Watts get some sweet revenge after discovering his wife Angie had lied about having a terminal illness.
In what has to be one of the most iconic soap moments of all time, Dirty Den brutally served Angie divorce papers on Christmas Day.
Originally airing back in 1986, the episode saw over 30 million viewers in the UK tune in to watch the drama.
Back in 2018 Anita Dobson – who played Angie on the BBC soap – told Digital Spy: "I'm absolutely thrilled because to have made something that's so iconic and that people are actually watching again – as well as a new generation – is wonderful and magical. I can hold it up as an achievement in my life."
What other classic EastEnders episodes will be airing and when?
EastEnders have confirmed that the classic episodes, which will be shown every Tuesday evening in EastEnders' slot, will also include Sharongate and the explosive reveal of Max and Stacey’s affair.
Fans can also take a trip down memory lane by watching other old episodes from 2008 on BBC iPlayer.
Viewers will be able to get stuck into four episodes a week from Monday, June 22.
The classic episodes from 2008 will allow fans to relive Whitney Dean’s bust-ups with her mum Bianca – who is due to return at some point soon for Whitney’s murder trial – as well as her increasingly doomed love life.
When can viewers watch Secrets From the Square?
Along with the classic episodes, BBC One will also be airing spin-off series Secrets From the Square.
The series will kick off on Monday, June 22 at 8pm and will offer viewers a unique chance to get a sneak peek into life behind the scenes.
Strictly winner Stacey Dooley will be speaking to Walford legends including Letitia Dean, Adam Woodyatt, Diane Parish, Tameka Empson, Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright.
The soap icons will be sharing juicy secrets from behind the scenes, as well as reflecting on their time on the show.
EastEnders fan Stacey said of her new hosting role: “I’m delighted to be hosting Secrets From the Square. I grew up watching EastEnders, so walking on to Albert Square was a surreal experience as well as taking a trip down memory lane and interviewing some of the legends of Walford has been great, I’ve loved every minute of it!”
