Wes Nelson shocks after teasing ‘chemistry’ with Dancing on Ice partner

Wes Nelson sparked ‘curse’ fears tonight after teasing that he had "chemistry" with his Dancing on Ice partner Vanessa Bauer.

This comes just after Vanessa, 22, was revealed to have split from boyfriend Louis Nathaniel.

According to The Sun, Louis had reportedly become concerned over her closeness with Wes, 20, who is dating Megan Barton Hanson.

Louis and Vanessa had been dating for two and a half years.

Wes rose to the top of the judges’ leaderboard after scoring 25 after a four from Jason Gardiner and sevens from the rest of the judges.

Speaking in training ahead of his first dance, he admitted that he hoped there "wasn’t too much chemistry" with Vanessa – as girlfriend Megan awkwardly watched on in the audience.

And Christopher Dean didn’t help matters when he cooed: "What a lovely looking couple – if you could choose two people on the ice this would be it."

This certainly wasn’t the first cringey moment of the night.

Gemma Collins left her co-stars fuming ahead of week two’s group dance.

The contestants were left waiting on the ice for a while before the TOWIE star eventually showed up.

As they all gathered on the rink, they wondered where she was so that they could start training.

One quipped wryly: "Is she sleeping?"

Eventually, Gemma made her grand entrance onto the ice and apologised… well, kind of.

"I’m the GC, remember?!" She said, adding: "I was late but I caught up!"

Tonight, she and the other first five skaters performed their group routine to Bruno Mars’ Runaway Baby, which received a huge round of applause.

This evening, one contestant will be booted out of the competition after the other six contestants perform.

Neighbours star Mark Little and pro partner Brianne Delcourt landed at the bottom of the judges leaderboard on week one and the public failed to save them from going through to the skate-off.
