Vinny takes on Nish as he is convinced he tried to kill Suki in EastEnders

Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) is searching for answers in upcoming EastEnders episodes as Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) recovers after falling down the stairs.

Curious as to how the incident occurred, Vinny starts to believe that Suki was pushed and when Nish (Navin Chowdhry) learns of the theory, he does his best to shut it down.

Once a concerned Eve (Heather Peace) learns of Vinny’s thoughts, her fears increase for her secret lover.

After Mitch (Roger Griffiths) overhears Eve voicing her concerns about Suki, he wonders if she’s a victim of domestic abuse like his daughter, Chantelle, who died when her husband Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) pushed her onto an opened dishwasher.

As a fearful Vinny tries his best to get Suki to open up, he turns to Eve for some help after Nish shuts down the conversation.

Fortunately, Eve is able to assist and she ends up telling Suki that she needs to report Nish to the police.

Later in the week, DS Miles and Callum (Tony Clay) arrive to ask Suki whether Nish has ever been violent.

Following a tense chat, Nish is taken in for questioning and after some evidence is presented that suggests he did push Suki, DS Miles and Callum are able to arrest Nish for ABH.

Given his concerns for Suki’s welfare, was it Vinny who provided the evidence?

And if so, what will that mean for his relationship with Nish, someone Vinny looks up to, according to Shiv Jalota…

‘Vinny doesn’t really have a lot of male figures around him – Kheerat is in prison and Jags passed away, so he’s constantly looking for his dad’s affirmation as he really wants to prove himself and to be loved.

‘Nish was in prison for a long time so he hasn’t really had that figure in his life and so I think there was part of Vinny that looked up to him in some ways.

‘However, he’s getting to know some of Nish’s traits and qualities and he starts to question his dad’s authorities as he understands his dad is not perhaps as perfect as he thought.’
