Tracy Morgan’s estranged wife Megan demands sole custody of 7-year-old daughter in divorce
TRACY Morgan's estranged wife wants sole legal and physical custody of their daughter, in their divorce.
Megan Wollover has made the request over 7-year-old Maven, after they announced their split last month.
Wollover, who married Morgan five years ago, also wants the “30 Rock” star to pay her alimony as agreed upon in their prenuptial agreement, which they signed on Aug. 5, 2015 reports Page Six.
She has requested Morgan continues to support Maven, as well as pay her legal fees, according to the publication.
Morgan, 51, filed his response one day after Wollover and requested joint legal and shared residential custody of their daughter, according to the report.
He also wants the court to allocate parenting time “in the best interests” of Maven.
Tracy, 51, revealed the sad news to PEOPLE last month, through a statement from his rep: "Sadly, after nearly five years of marriage, Megan and I are filing for divorce.
"This is a challenging time for all involved, so I ask that you please respect our privacy."
The couple share 7-year-old daughter Maven Sonae.
Megan – who is 18 years the actor's junior – and Tracy had been together since 2011 when a mutual friend set them up for a blind date.
She cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of the split.
Tracy got his big break on Saturday Night Live, followed by critical acclaim and an Emmy nomination for his work on 30 Rock.
The former Saturday Night Live cast member popped the question to Megan, and they announced their engagement during the red carpet for the 2012 Emmy's.
In January 2013, the couple revealed they were expecting their first child together and welcomed Maven in July.
However, it wasn't the birth of their daughter that delayed the couple's nuptials, but Tracy's horrific car accident in 2014, which left him fighting for his life.
On June 7, 2014, a Walmart truck slammed into the comedian's limousine, killing his friend James McNair and leaving the comedian bound to a wheelchair for five months.
Following the accident, Megan and Tracy were able to finally tie the knot in August 2015 in an emotional and intimate wedding.
The news comes just a few months after Tracy left Today Show's Hoda Kotb horrified when he said he had gotten his wife pregnant at least three times as they quarantined due to the coronavirus pandemic.
He shared: “Me and my wife have been quarantining it for three weeks, so she’s pregnant three times. Every week she got pregnant.”
The actor continued: “We’re role playing a lot now.
“She’s playing a young maiden whose grandfather was infected with coronavirus, and I’m a scientist who discovered the cure.
“And she’ll do anything to save her grandfather’s life. And I mean anything.”
The Today host awkwardly told him he’s a “creative one” before once again trying to move the conversation away from Tracy’s sex habits with Wollover.
