Towie's Shelby Tribble and Sam Mucklow shares first pic of newborn son and reveal he's called Abel Ashley

TOWIE'S Shelby Tribble and Sam Mucklow have shared the first snaps of their newborn son.

The former TOWIE star, 27, and her fiancé, 28, welcomed their first child together on Sunday and have named him Abel Ashley.

Sam revealed their happy news on Instagram, calling Shelby an "absolute soldier" after a tough labour and a five day stay in hospital.

The new mum shared a first look at her adorable son wearing a patterned pale blue baby grow.

She wrote: "Abel Ashley Mucklow 💙 Born 15.11.20 Weighing 7.3lb 🍼 Our perfect baby boy 👶🏼.

In the first photo little Abel is seen sleeping on one of his doting parents.

In the second photo the newborn is wearing a sweet blue hat with fluffy pom poms on the top as he slept in a baby car seat which was covered with a personalised "Baby Mucklow" blanket.

A number of friends were quick to congratulate the new parents, with Towie's Amber Turner writing: "Ahhh Abel ❤️❤️❤️ Auntie Amber loves you lots already! Can’t wait to meet him xxx."

Reality star Chloe Brockett posted: "Oh so gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️ love to all 3 of you ❤️."

Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry added: "Congratulations both of you😍."

It has been a tough week for the pair after Shelby was rushed back to hospital with high blood pressure just days after giving birth.

The new mum posted from her hospital bed as she told fans she had been readmitted.

She wrote: "Re-admitted into hospital after only just leaving and getting comfortable at home with daddy.

"F*** you pre-eclampysia. Baby is fine, just mummy's blood pressure is not."

Earlier this week, Sam shared the happy news of his son's birth with fans, and posted: "Shelby and our beautiful baby boy are both well and healthy.

"Shelby didn't have a straightforward labour so she has been in hospital for five days. She has been an absolute soldier.

"Also need to thank all of the doctors and nurses, midwifes in antenatal labour and postnatal at Queens Hospital, Romford.

"So many lovely staff we are so lucky to have the NHS. Thank you all for your lovely messages wishing us luck.

"So many beautiful people out there and it's honestly overwhelming. Thank you all."

It was back in May that Shelby announced she will have having her first child.

The 2015 Miss Great Britain winner and Sam showed off a sweet ultrasound photo of their unborn child on social media.

In both photos, the excited parents-to-be beamed as they posed outside their front door, which has a feathered rainbow wreath supporting the NHS as decoration.

Shelby captioned the sweet post: "Something fantastic is making us glad, we’re changing our names to Mum and Dad".

The model quit the ITVBe hit reality show in September to focus on her baby and relationship with Sam, who also left the Brentwood-based show.
