Towie’s Pete Wicks left devastated after family member passes away as he says ‘I have never felt so lost’

PETE Wicks has been left devastated by the death of his nan Doreen.

The Towie star announced his beloved grandmother's passing on Instagram today, writing "I hope you knew how much you were loved."


Emotional Pete, 33, shared one photo of him and his smiling nan Doreen sitting outside with a Christmas tree behind her, and another of Doreen in hospital, as Pete tenderly holds her hand.

The heartbroken star penned paid tribute to his grandmother, who was in her early eighties when she died, and said: "Nan, Despite knowing this time would always come it doesn’t make it any easier.

"It’s taken me days not knowing what to say because no words will ever be able to describe what you meant to me. My heart is broken and I have never felt so lost.

"I have been blessed to have you as my nan but more importantly to have you as my best friend.

Pete was comforted by friends and fans beneath the post, with Ex Towie star Danielle Armstrong writing: "😢 so sorry for loss babe 💔 xxx"

Co-star Georgia Kousoulou said: "So sorry for your loss Pete ❤️"

The star worshiped his nan, who with along with his mum was the most important woman in his life.

He recently spoke about being single in his thirties on Vicky Pattison's podcast, and explained: "People just assume no one wants you, or that it’s a red flag.

"I’m going to get married one day, I believe in soulmates.

"But I’m not going to be in a relationship if I don’t see it as the person, I’m going to spend the rest of my life with."

The Essex star has had a number of high profile relationships over the years.

One of his most known is probably with fellow Towie star Megan McKenna.

Pete has also been linked to Harriette Harper, Verity Chapman, Shelby Tribble and Georgina Elizabeth Mullins.

Back in 2020 Pete shocked fans when he revealed his secret two-year relationship with Towie co-star Chloe Sims during an episode of the ITVBe show.

In November, Pete revealed he'd had her name tattooed on his hand.

But the pair's romance has fizzled out with Chloe wiping all trace of him from social media and saying in April: "We're not on any terms. There's nothing to say."
