Tipping Point viewers open-mouthed as contestant makes history with record-breaking move in first round | The Sun
TIPPING Point viewers were left open-mouthed after a contestant scored a record-breaking drop in the first round.
During Monday afternoon's instalment – first broadcast in 2021 – host Ben Shephard revealed that history had been made after 22 counters fell in a single go.
Among Phil's first round haul was the "x2" counter, meaning his £1,100 win was doubled to £2,200.
In response to the electrician describing the drop as "amazing", Ben affirmed: "That's one word for it, yes.
"The previous Tipping Point record in round one with the double was 21 counters. You've just beaten that record with 22 counters across the Tipping Point.
"It is a huge drop. In over 1000 episodes, that's the biggest one we've ever seen in this round."

He failed to win the £10,000 jackpot, however, he was more than happy to take home the £3,550 that he had banked in the previous rounds.
