Tipping Point fans urge players to stop doing the same thing – but do you agree?

TIPPING Point viewers are all in an uproar over the show's mystery prizes, saying they should be avoided entirely.

The ITV quiz show returned on Monday with another round of contestants ready to take on the larger than life coin drop.

As part of its tenth-anniversary celebrations, the number of contenders has dropped from four to three despite a cold response from viewers.

Starting off strong on yesterday's show was Nick, who managed to rack up several hundred pounds worth of cash in his first round.

He also managed to bag himself the highly sought after mystery prize with only his second coin.

The prize on offer, however, was a one-year subscription to a plant delivery service.

Although Nick seemed to be delighted with what he received, the plants didn't go down well with viewers.

Taking to Twitter to condemn the lack of impressive prizes, one person penned: "They need better mystery prizes than plants."

Echoing their comments, someone else said: "Why are contestants getting so excited over such awful mystery prizes? Stop encouraging it."

While a third sarcastically remarked: "Wow. Great prize. Cheers, Ben!"

Some viewers said the prizes have never been good and should be ignored in favour of the cash.

It isn't the first time viewers have complained about the mystery prizes.

Earlier this year, they were up in arms about a contestant called Tom winning a stay in a treehouse.

Ben revealed he had won a three-night treehouse stay courtesy of Atlantic Surf Pods.

As Ben read it out, a picture of the stylish treehouse appeared on screen and Tom seemed delighted with it, but viewers didn't agree.

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
