'Tiger King': Jeff Lowe Teases Even More Trouble to Come for Carole Baskin After Her Legal Victory Against Joe Exotic
The saga of Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness continues to unfold months after the docuseries premiered on Netflix. Carole Baskin won Joseph Maldonado-Passage, aka Joe Exotic’s zoo in a lawsuit. Jeff Lowe and his wife Lauren are currently maintaining G.W. Exotic Animal Memorial Park and they will have to vacate when Baskin takes over.

The Lowes spoke with ET.com about the judgment and their move to a new zoo in Thackerville, Oklhaoma. Jeff said he knows about more trouble Baskin will face after taking over the zoo.
Jeff Lowe’s cryptic promise of trouble for Carole Baskin even after ‘Tiger King’
Baskin has had her share of trouble. Thanks to Tiger King, there’s criticism over her keeping big cats in captivity at all. Many people suspect she killed her husband and fed him to tigers. Maldonado-Passage hired a hit man to kill her, and she sued Maldonado-Passage for trademark infringement over her Big Cat Rescue logo.
“I can’t say a lot,” Jeff Lowe said. “There’s a lot more coming up for Carole Baskin that we know of. I think this zoo will probably just grow over and disappear because she’s going to have her hands full real soon.”
ET’s Lauren Zima asked with what Baskin’s hands might be full.
“He’s gotta stop talking,” Lauren Lowe said.
Jeff Lowe implies money will be Carole Baskin’s downfall
The Lowes and Baskin will still be running competing zoos in Oklahoma post Tiger King. Jeff Lowe said Baskin is in it for the wrong reasons.

“She’s in it for the money,” he said. “She’s got more rental homes than Donald Trump. You’ve got to do what you do and do it well and focus on your cause. If her cause is to liberate tigers in captivity, then why the hell has she got 30 or 40 tigers in captivity? You lead by example. You don’t lead by hypocrisy. That’s her entire life.”
Jeff Lowe hopes Carole Baskin’s donors call her out
One of the issues Jeff Lowe brought up were the legal fees Baskin paid to sue Maldonado-Passage for copyright infringement. She spent more than the million dollars the court awarded her.
“Why would she spent $2.5 million fighting Joe for five or six or seven years to obtain a million dollar judgment,” Loew said. “Nothing she does makes any sense.”

He accused Baskin of diverting funds for Big Cat Rescure to her legal battles.
That’s money that was donated to Big Cat Rescue to take care of her animals. So I hope that what comes out of this is that her donors who have handed her 1000s upon 1000s of dollars over the years recongize not exactly what she’s been doing with the money. It’s not gone to the animals. If she comes here, she’s got a much better facility than she’s got down in Tampa. It’s sad that she just doesn’t seem to care about the animals as much as she did about taking Joe down and now closing this zoo.
