The Walking Dead season 10: Star confirmed for role in AMC World Beyond spin-off
The Walking Dead revealed the official title for its upcoming third series The Walking Dead: World Beyond last week. The new show is only loosely related to the original series from the start of the apocalypse, showcasing the lives of the end of the world’s first generation. It was previously revealed that Julia Ormond would star in the series. Now, fans can catch a glimpse of her character in action.
The Walking Dead fans have been in somewhat of a funk after The Walking Dead season 10 began its midseason finale hiatus.
However, excitement is off the scale for spin-off World Beyond.
Following a group of teens 10 years after the virus outbreak, the Amazon Original promises to be just as action-packed as the AMC series.

- The Walking Dead season 10: Why isn’t The Walking Dead on this week?
In a short teaser trailer released by Amazon Prime Video, Emmy-winner Julia Ormond was unveiled as one of the stars to enter The Walking Dead universe.
Now, her character has officially been identified as Elizabeth.
The new face is seen commanding an army of the black-suited soldiers that first popped up in Season five of the franchise’s first spin-off Fear the Walking Dead.
In the title reveal trailer Elizabeth says: “We are the last light of the world, we are the last hope.”
In the trailer, a helicopter bearing the three-circle symbol belonging to CRM can be seen.
This is much like the one Rick (played by Andrew Lincoln) is seen being carried away on in the season nine finale.
Elizabeth appears to be the leader of this series’ Nebraska-based civilisation, which is one of three major civilisations in the world of The Walking Dead.
Will this tie in to the Rick Grimes spin-off trilogy?

“What happened was, coming into this season, the information was really parcelled out to me. You’re on a ‘need to know’ basis.

“So when I actually showed up to the first day of work, essentially, all the information that I had to use was the information that was given in that first episode where I first appeared.”
“I went back and analysed the character of Dante in the source material, and I really did feel that I had quite an established grasp on who this person was.”
However, after revealing his confidence in the character to director Greg Nicotero, he was pulled or a chat.
Juan added: “And he goes, ‘Yeah… why don’t you step off set for a second, take a five-minute walk with me?’ And he revealed the general arc of what the character was, and he revealed all of the ulterior motives of the character, and really the true face of who this person was, in about a ten-minute pep talk on the streets of Alexandria. It was fantastic.”
The Walking Dead season 10 continues Sunday on AMC and Monday on Fox UK.
