The Trouble with Maggie Cole viewers unearth Jamie’s violent past after spotting local report on character’s phone – The Sun
THE Trouble of Maggie Cole fans have discovered Jamie's violent past after spotting a newspaper article on the character's phone.
Eagle-eyed fans spotted the evidence after he was exposed on the big projector during a meeting in the village in last week's episode.
A quick fan was able to spot the message and post it to Twitter, which confirmed that Jamie had been a very bad boy.
It read: "THIRLBURY ESTATE AGENT Jamie Cole aged 28 has a violent past."
While it didn't specify exactly what the violent acts were, that was enough to confirm that Maggie Cole's son, indeed had something to hide.
The revelation at the end of last week's episode left fans reeling on Twitter, who are dying to know what Jamie may have got up to in the past.
One fan commented: "#maggiecole Anyone know what the secret is???? #confused."
Another fan tweeted: "I want to know the secret between Peter and Jamie #TheTroubleWithMaggieCole."
A third follower asked: "So what is Peter and Jamie's secret? #thetroublewithmaggiecole."
While a fourth viewer wrote: "I'm still hoping there was something else in that interview that nobody heard before Jamie knocked it off. Something nice #thetroublewithmaggiecole."
The village comedy drama left ITV viewers in stitches with an epic Friday Night Dinner crossover in last week's episode.
As Maggie's words lead to some big consequences, she is consoled by her husband Peter, played by Mark Heap.
TV fans will know Mark from Channel 4 sitcom, Friday Night Dinner, where he plays neighbour Jim Bell alongside Tamsin Greig and Paul Ritter.
And in last week's episode, Mark gave a nod to his other alter ego in a scene with Dawn as he said "Shalom".
In Friday Night Dinner, the phrase is said on a regular basis, and so ITV viewers loved the subtle crossover.
