The Rookie season 2, episode 11 release date: When is The Rookie back?
The Rookie follows the story of 40-year-old John Nolan (played by Nathan Fillion) who becomes the oldest ‘rookie’ at the LAPD. The show first aired back in 2017 and in May 2019 the series was renewed for a 20 episode second season. Just in time for Christmas, The Rookie embarked on its midseason finale in the US, so when will it return?

When is The Rookie season 2 back?
The Rookie season two usually airs every Sunday on ABC.
After the show’s midseason finale on Sunday, December 8, the Rookie will not return until February 2020.
Episode 11 of The Rookie season two will premiere on Sunday, February 23, 2020.

The remaining nine episodes will air every Sunday afterwards.
Unfortunately, the episode title and synopsis for episode 11 has not yet been released by ABC.

No doubt, episode 11 will pick up from the cliffhanger ending of episode 10.
Episode 10, titled The Dark Side, saw Officer Nolan (played by Nathan Fillion) and his team take a notorious female serial killer, Rosalind Dyer (Annie Wersching), to the graves of her previously unrecovered victims.
However, when they arrived at the site, they found another body had been buried nearby only six months ago, while Rosalind was in prison.
The team then uncovered another victim who was killed just three months ago, leading them to believe another serial killer was out on the streets.
However, the man they suspected to be the killer was found to be long dead.
Also in the episode, Wesley (Shawn Ashmore) continued to suffer terribly from PTSD and lied continuously to Officer Lopez (Alyssa Diaz) about day drinking and taking drugs.

Towards the end, Officer Chen (Melissa O’Neil) stumbled upon a new love interest whilst out at a bar.
Things took a dark twist when Chen’s date, Caleb (Michael Cassidy) drugged and dumped her in the back of his car and drove off.
Is Caleb the serial killer Officer Nolan and his team are looking for? The Rookie fans will have to wait until February 2020 to find out.
In the meantime, US fans of the Rookie can watch the first half of season two via ABC’s website.

When is The Rookie season 2 out in the UK?
Finally, The Rookie season two has a release date for UK viewers.
Episode one of The Rookie season two will premiere on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 9pm GMT on Sky Witness.
Sky Go customers will be able to watch the episode as it airs live on TV or stream the episode via the Sky Go app.
Episodes of The Rookie will also be available to stream via Sky Go after the episode has finished airing on TV.
