The Magicians season 4 clip: Dean Fogg prepares for the end
The end is apparently nigh for Dean Fogg (Rick Worthy) on The Magicians.
In this hilarious exclusive clip from Wednesday’s episode “Lost, Found, F…ed,” our favorite high-functioning alcoholic headmaster starts putting his affairs in order. While we can’t tell you what horrible fate awaits him, we can say that it does have something to do with the mischievous hedge witch Marina (Kacey Rohl).
To prepare for his impending and mysterious doom, Fogg settles up an old gambling debt, says good bye to a drinking buddy, and orders Todd (Adam DiMarco) to document it all for his memoir, which also leads to a surprising amount of introspection. “He’s doing this because he can see the end coming,” Worthy tells EW about shooting the sequence. “Fogg is just kind of letting it all out. And man, I just went there. But it was a really sort of cathartic and deep moment for Fogg.”
One of the things that made shooting the sequence so much fun was that it was directed by executive producer Chris Fisher. “It was really deep because you know, I love Chris Fisher. I’ll just go ahead and say he’s so far my favorite director that I’ve worked with on the show,” says Worthy. “He just gets me. He just knows exactly what to say to me and I know which direction to go. Or he keeps me on the right path. And does it with an efficiency of words that I think is really a talent, you know? A gift.”
