The Funniest 'Bob's Burgers' Thanksgiving Episodes

Holiday episodes are common in TV shows, and Bob’s Burgers is no exception. While the first two seasons did not have holiday episodes, Thanksgiving episodes became an important fixture of the show. Thanksgiving is Bob Belcher’s favorite holiday, but every year his favorite holiday manages to be one of the most hectic days of the year.

5. Season 3, episode 5 and season 8, episode 5

While all of the Bob’s Burgers Thanksgiving episodes have funny moments, some are on the sadder side. The fifth episode of season 3 is called “An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal.” Mr. Fischoeder offers the Belchers five months of free rent if Linda, Tina, Gene, and Louise will pretend to be his family to make an ex jealous. The thought of not being able to spend Thanksgiving together as a family effectively ruins Bob’s favorite holiday.

Season 8’s Thanksgiving episode is titled “Thanks-Hoarding.” It is the fifth episode of the eighth season and makes viewers feel bad for the Belchers’ friend, Teddy. In the episode, the Belcher family help Teddy host Thanksgiving and realize their friend is a hoarder.

4. Season 7, episode 6 and season 6, episode 4

“The Quirk-ducers” is the Thanksgiving episode from the seventh season of Bob’s Burgers. The sixth episode of the season is a Tina-centric episode, meaning it’s a great episode to re-watch before the upcoming holiday. In the episode, Tina puts on an erotic musical called “The Quirky Turkey.”

The fourth episode of season 6 is called “Gayle Makin’ Bob Sled.” Megan Mullally plays Linda’s sister, Gayle. It’s not the best Thanksgiving episode from Bob’s Burgers, but still offers a lot of humor thanks to Mullally’s character.

3. Season 9, episode 7: “I Bob Your Pardon”

The newest Thanksgiving episode of Bob’s Burgers airs on Nov. 24, 2019. The episode will have a lot to live up to as season 9’s episode, “I Bob Your Pardon,” was filled with jokes and new characters.

In the episode, the Belcher kids discover that the turkey pardoned by the mayor will be taken to a slaughterhouse instead of a sanctuary as promised. They convince their parents to steal the turkey, and a literal car chase over the turkey ensues.

2. Season 5, episode 4: “Dawn of the Peck”

The Thanksgiving episode from season 5 of Bob’s Burgers is equal parts terrifying and funny. Bob stays home to work on the holiday meal while Linda, Tina, Gene, and Louise go to the Wonder Wharf. At the wharf, a festival and Turkey Trot are taking place.

For the Turkey Trot, the turkeys, chickens, and geese are released to add something new to the traditional event. Unfortunately, the birds all turn on the humans participating in the event and attack them. Despite the injuries and mild terror, the episode is filled with laughter as the Belchers and their friends try to escape the birds.

1. Season 4, episode 5: “Turkey in a Can”

Without a doubt, the funniest Thanksgiving episode of Bob’s Burgers is “Turkey in a Can.” It’s the fifth episode of the show’s fourth season, and is one of the funniest episodes of the season. In the episode, Linda’s sister Gayle stays with the Belcher family for the holiday. She brings her multiple cats with her, including one she recently found.

“Oh it was so sad, he was just sitting on someone’s porch, poor little guy,” Gayle says in one of the episode’s most underrated lines.

Bob boasts about his three-day salt rub for the Thanksgiving turkey. The next morning, the family discovers the uncooked turkey in the toilet. The same thing happens the morning after that. Hilarity ensues as the family turns on each other trying to figure out who is sabotaging Thanksgiving.
