The Chase's Bradley Walsh scolds Jenny Ryan for 'unnecessary' swipe at contestant

THE CHASE'S Bradley Walsh was forced to scold Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan after she took an 'unnecessary' swipe at a contestant.

The host was not impressed by the quizmaster's sly dig at law student Alex as he tried to bank money for the Final Chase.

Despite answering some of the quick-fire questions incorrectly on Wednesday's episode, Alex had managed to accumulate £4,000 in the cash builder round.

When Jenny walked out to take on her challenge, she sat down and pointedly looked at Alex.

And before Bradley was able to kick off the series of questions, Jenny said: "Hello Alex, the legal eagle."

"Hello, thank you, Jenny," replied an unassuming Alex.

Jenny went on to retort: "It’s a good job you like hitchhiking – You’re going to save us a few bob getting you home after the show."

Moving things along, Bradley commented: "Put some money on the table, £4,000."

Before he added: "That was unnecessary that – he’ll be staying, have no fear."

Proving to be right in his belief, Alex went on to bank his £4,000 before re-joining his team.

During the Final Chase, Alex, former 80s popstar Ron and retired market trader Barbara took on Jenny, playing for a total of £12,000.

Working together they beat the Chaser and took home £4,000 each.

The Chase airs weekdays 5pm on ITV.
