The Chase viewers slam ‘nonsense’ rules after team lose prize money

The Chase viewers were left raging tonight after a team of four players lost £23k due to the 'wrong player' rule.

Tonight's contestants were up against quizzing extraordinaire Anne Hegerty, and things were looking good as they stepped up for the final chase to win the money.

However, the team were not awarded a point after answering a question at the same time, despite it being the correct answer.

Then Anne beat them with five seconds to spare, so fans were angry and claimed that the "wrong person" rule cost them their win.

Despite working well as a team throughout the show and answering 21 questions correctly, they went home empty-handed.
