The Chase viewers outraged as ITV gets ‘answer wrong’ to question
The Chase is known for bringing some of the best brains in Britain together to battle it out over general knowledge quiz questions.
But viewers felt ITV had made a mistake over one of their questions on this week's show, as they labelled the answer "incorrect".
It all kicked off when contestant Alun went head-to-head with Shaun "The Dark Destroyer" Wallace in the studios.
Host Bradley Walsh asked: "Which of these is the act of accidentally phoning someone when carrying a mobile phone in your back pocket?"
The options given were – butt dial, booty call, or bottom ring.
If he got the question right, Alun would have boosted his team's fund by £18,000 – but if he got it wrong, it would be time to pack his bags.
The Cardiff-born contestant looked a little nervous when he realised the answer he'd been hoping for, pocket dial, wasn't on the list off options.
Confused, he opted to go for booty call instead, which lit up red as a wrong answer.

He explained: "I normally call it a pocket dial but it wasn't up there."
Unfortunately, The Chaser opted for the correct answer of "Butt Dial", which is an American take on the British phrase "pocket dial".

Defeated, Alun remarked: "Never called it that. Butt dial? Never heard of that."
The wrong answer got Alun booted off the competition, leaving viewers up in arms.

A second agreed: "Since when was it called a butt dial?"
While a third remarked: "Fair to say butt dial was the most correct answer presented. However, based on, "Pocket Dial" is used more in the UK.."
The Chase continues on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
