'The Challenge': Amber Borzotra Posts 'Big Brother' Throwback Proving She's 'Unbothered' by Confrontation

The Challenge 36 rookie Amber Borzotra got into a verbal confrontation with veteran Theresa Jones after refusing to throw a daily mission to her. Following the episode, Amber posted a throwback clip from her original season on Big Brother where Zach Rance confronted her in front of the entire house, proving she’s always been “unbothered” by conflict.

In 2014, 33-year-old Hollywood, California-based model Amber Borzotra joined the cast of Big Brother 16.

During the first week, Frankie Grande and Caleb Reynolds aligned and brought in Devin Shepherd and eventual winner Derrick Levasseur.

They also added Zach Rance and Cody Calafiore, where the six wanted to stop, but Devin had other plans. He later invited Christine Brecht and Amber into the Bomb Squad without the others’ approval, which led to the massive alliance’s downfall.

The group alienated the model due to Caleb’s crush on her and considered her the biggest threat. Therefore, she was backdoored and unanimously evicted in Week 5.

Six years later, the BB alumni appeared on the 36th season of MTV’s reality competition series The Challenge as a rookie. After pairing up with four-time champ Darrell Taylor, she aligned with other stars from Big Brother and developed a strong bond with the rookies.

During the Jan. 27 episode, Amber knew competitor Theresa Jones might have wanted to take a shot at her partner. Therefore, she refused to throw the challenge to Theresa, costing her the victory by a second, which annoyed the veteran.

Theresa later confronted Amber about not throwing the challenge and thinking she had plans to target Darrell. The veteran claimed she never asked the rookie to throw it and thought Amber should have made it clear that she wanted to win the daily mission.

During the argument, the Big Brother star didn’t say much, causing Theresa to eventually walk away. In a confessional, Amber explained she thought the veteran confronted her because she knew she and her partner were on the bottom after blindsiding several competitors last week.

Following the episode, Amber posted a throwback clip to her Instagram of Zach’s speech to her after getting backdoored. He interrupted the Veto meeting to tell her, in front of everyone, that he couldn’t wait for her to get evicted because of the way she treated Caleb.

He explained, “Beastmode Cowboy” risked winning for her, gave her his blanket when they were Have-Nots, and ate a pickle, his least favorite food, so that she would go on a date with him.

However, Amber made it clear she didn’t want a showmance. When Zach asked her for a comment, she merely smiled. In a lengthy caption, Amber explained she hasn’t changed when it comes to her being “unbothered” by confrontation.

The Big Brother star also noted she’s always decided against “entertaining negative energy” and doesn’t “hold a grudge” against anyone because she understands how difficult it is to play the game. The Challenge 36 airs Wednesdays at 8/7 Central on MTV.
