‘The Batman’ Adds ‘Rogue One’ Cinematographer Greig Fraser

“The Batman” is getting a bit of “Rogue One” flavor.
The Matt Reeves-directed superhero movie is bringing on cinematographer Greig Fraser, an Oscar nominee for 2016’s “Lion.” Fraser also shot “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”
The Australian DP previously worked with Reeves on the 2010 film “Let Me In.” His credits also include “Vice,” “Zero Dark Thirty,” and “Foxcatcher,” as well as Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming “Dune.”
“The Batman” will star Robert Pattinson as the Dark Knight. Not much is known about the story, though rumors hint that it will feature the classic villains the Penguin and Catwoman.
“It’s great to be working with Matt again,” said Fraser in a statement. “The Batman franchise is iconic and it’s a privilege to now be able to visualize it in my own way. Especially with the cumulative creative potential of all the talent and technicians we have in front of and behind the camera.”
“The Batman” is slated to open in theaters June 25, 2021.
