The Apprentice's Michelle Dewberry gives birth to first baby early at 31 weeks and reveals he’s in intensive care unit

THE Apprentice star Michelle Dewberry has revealed her firstborn has arrived very prematurely at 31 weeks, with "lots of complications."

The emotional new mum, 40, took to her Twitter page to update fans on her adorable bundle of joy, hailing her little boy a "fighter".

Michelle uploaded a tender snap showing her cuddling the tot in a rainbow-coloured blanket as they shared some tender time together at a hospital in Hull.

She then added a snap of the tiny boy in his cot in the neo-natal unit, while the third image showed his baby clothes and gifts ready to use.

Michelle, who won the second ever series of BBC One show, The Apprentice, in 2006 wrote: "So happy to share that I’m now a mummy!

"After a month in hospital & lots of complications, my little man came into this world way too early (31 weeks) but takes after his mamma & is a fighter.

"I’m in love❤️."

Confirming her baby with Simon Jordan is still in Intensive Care, she added:"Our next chapter, that of #NICU is now upon us. We take it day by day."

Prior to his birth, Michelle has spent a month in the northern hospital.

At 31 weeks, the youngster was only three weeks into Michelle's third trimester of pregnancy.

Full term is usually around 40 weeks or slightly after.
