Make no mistake. This film will be a major talking point for months.

14: Top Gun – Maverick

The script may be a mash-up of The Matrix, Wreck It Ralph and the Lego Movie but Reynolds’s tongue-in-cheek charisma should help propel this collection of Grand Theft Auto in-jokes into the upper reaches of the Summer box-office chart.

Expect ultra-violence, laughs, and a few in-jokes for the gamers
