The 100 seasons 7 release date, cast, trailer, plot: When will the new series air?

The 100 season six will premiere on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 on The CW in America. UK fans of the show will be able to watch the show on Channel 4’s E4. Previously The 100 has aired in the UK in May and it is likely season six will follow the same pattern.

When will The 100 season 7 air?

Unfortunately, a release date for season seven of The 100 has not yet been confirmed.

If season seven is given the go-ahead by The CW, The 100 is likely to arrive in April 2020.

Speaking in January, CW President Mark Pedowitz told reporters that: “[Showrunner Jason Rothenberg] does have a really good idea for his seventh season. We’ll see where we’re at, that’s a May thing.“

Hopefully, news of The 100 season seven will be announced in May 2019.

Rumours regarding season seven of The 100 have been circulating since 2018.

Speaking to Nerdist last year after the premiere of season five, Pedowitz hinted there could be the seventh season.

He said: “I know [Rothenberg] has a plan beyond year five. It’s too soon to have that discussion.

“He may have a six or seven-year plan to it. I don’t know if I’m allowed to even say that, that he has a plan beyond year five, but he does.”

Rothenberg added: “When I said that a couple of years ago, I had this idea for how I wanted the show to end.

“But it was scalable and that ending could have been at the end of season three, it could be at the end of season five, it could be at the end of season eight.

“Those decisions are not really mine. I don’t think that this is a show that runs for 10 seasons.

“But I love these characters and this world so much that it’s fresh for me every year.

“We tell a different story every year so we don’t get bored with it. I still have an end story in mind, but I don’t know when that end is going to be and I feel very, very confident that I’ll get to tell it eventually.”

Actor Shannon Kook, who plays Jordan Green in the series told Digital Spy: “We just hear rumours, and the feel has always been that there’s going to be a seventh.

“It’s all over online. Both Mark Pedowitz, the president of The CW, and our creator Jason Rothenberg have expressed confidence in a season 7, but with this industry, you can never be certain.

“All of these things happen and you never really know until it’s official.“

“I think there’ll be a season 7 personally. But at the end of the day, I have no power in that situation.

“I think the fans have a lot of power about how they show up and being there when the show is airing, but it’s just so much business and statistics behind the scenes, it’s difficult to tell.”

The star added: “Personally, I’m quite optimistic.“

What will happen in The 100 season 7?

At the moment it is hard to tell what will happen in the seventh season of The 100 as the sixth series has not yet aired.

The series is based on Kass Morgan’s novels of the same name but has already diverged from the original material so it is almost impossible to predict what will happen.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Rothenberg said: “I did have an endpoint in mind, and that endpoint has been reached, and yet we broke a whole new story wide open.

“When this season comes to an end, it sets up a whole new adventure in a way that surprised me.

“We do keep reinventing the show every year — every year is a new adventure, a new set of bad guys, a new set of goals for our heroes.

“So as long as we’re blessed enough to make it… I think the twist at the end of this season is bigger than anything we’ve done in the past, let’s put it that way.

“It could set us up for a long run.”

Who will be in the cast of The 100?

Eliza Taylor is likely to return for The 100 season seven as the show’s main character, Clarke Griffin.

Also returning for The 100 season seven is likely to be Marie Avgeropoulos as Octavia Blake and Bob Morley as Bellamy Blake.

Fingers crossed Lindsey Morgan’s character Raven Reyes and Henry Ian Cusick’s Marcus Kane survive season six and will return for season seven.

The 100 also features guest stars each season so who knows who will appear in season seven.

Is there a trailer for The 100 season 7?

No, there is no trailer for The 100 season seven.

If the seventh season is given the go-ahead, a trailer is unlikely to drop until closer to the release date.

If like previous seasons, The 100 series seven will premiere in April, meaning a trailer is likely to drop around March next year.
