Teen Mom Mackenzie McKee claims 'momma is smiling' as she posts sweet family snap 18 months after Angie Douthit's death

TEEN Mom Mackenzie McKee has gushed how late parent Angie Douthit is "smiling" down on her family as they reunited for a sweet portrait.

The MTV star tragically lost her mom in December 2019, after she passed away from brain cancer at the age of 50.

Mackenzie, 26, made public her raw grief in the aftermath of Angie's passing, admitting she "can't get drunk enough" to numb the pain.

She told how Angie's death "hurt so bad" and "gets harder every single day" in an emotional segment on Teen Mom OG.

Yet the Body By Mac founder appears to have turned a corner almost 18 months after the tragedy as she posed for a family portrait alongside her father and siblings.

Her dad Brad took centre stage wearing a black T-Shirt with the message "#alwaysbekind."

The reality TV star's brother Zeke wore a red vest top as he gave the mom of three a big cuddle.

As Mackenzie beamed into the shot she held one arm of her father while her sisters, Whitney and Kaylee, were on the far right of the shot.

The Florida native added the sweet caption: "I just know momma @angiedouthit is smiling so big. #dad #siblings #bodybymac #photoshoot #family #alwaysbekind."

Her followers showed their appreciation for the cute picture post, with one writing: "WOW this picture is perfect."

Another agreed: "She FOR SURE is," as one posted: "Yes she is! Love all of you, your mom was so inspiring and full of love, she is your angel in the sky, always watching over you!"

Mackenzie suffered another family scare almost a year after Angie's death as her dad was rushed to ER for quadruple heart surgery.

His recovery has gone well and just last month Mackenzie posted a rare video of Brad, showing the pair dancing together.

The pair boogied on top of a white boat in a TikTok video.

While adding a laughing emoji, the Teen Mom star captioned the video: "I love my dad so much!"

Brad busted out his own dance moves but he couldn't keep up with his daughter's speed and pace.

The two were laughing and dancing to Kayla Nicole and Taylor Girlz's Bundles.

The reality star mentioned she had a "blast" over on Instagram.

Meanwhile, the reality TV favourite previously poured her heart to her Teen Mom fans when addressing her family tragedy.

On the show, she said: “Losing my mom is one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through in my life,”

“We’ll [all] be fine. Then something small will remind us …

"The last person I got my toenails done with was my mom. That’s what we always did together and everyone says that it gets easier, and it just seems to be getting harder every single day.”
