Tasha Ghouri's dad reveals the REAL reason Love Island parents weren't allowed to hug their kids | The Sun

TASHA Ghouri dad Tarek revealed the REAL reason Love Island parents weren't allowed to hug their kids during the reunion.

Last night the remaining couples were able to see their loved ones for the first time in eight weeks.

Tarek explained that one of the parents tested positive for Covid, meaning they had to keep their distance from the Islander during their visit.

After their morning debriefs, Tasha's mum and dad, and Andrew Le Page's parents entered the villa.

Voice over Iain Stirling said: "The parents are here!"

He added: "Sadly they still aren't allowed to hug or kiss so they'll have to stand two metres apart."

Viewers were confused about ITV's decision, with one writing: "You were so funny! Why couldn't you all take Covid tests so you could hug?"

Tarek cleared things up and replied: "One of the other parents tested positive the morning of filming so everything changed sadly."

Meanwhile, Tasha’s dad stole the show after he made a series of jokes about Andrew – mocking his antics with Coco.

He started by asking Andrew what his favourite moment has been and quickly said, with a wink: “Don’t say Coco.”

Talk then turned to their activities between the sheets.

He started by saying: “You know it’s love when two people on the other side of the villa are having a little look and a little smile and stuff, and a lot of body contact.

“Not the body contact under the sheets which we do need to talk about at some point.”

Tasha’s mum added: “The sheets moving…” as Tarek remarked: “The famous salon.”

Mortified Tasha said: “We kept the salon chill.”

Tarek retorted: “You’re joking, the salon is open 24/7!”

The proud dad described that while her cochlear implant was great to help her hear the "technology isn't perfect" because "it doesn't allow us to hear like we can hear each other."

"It's constantly got a little buzz to it, which Tasha said she can hear," he told The Sun.

"The other ear she can't hear anything. It isn't the holy grail.
