Strictly leaderboard: Who is the top of the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard?
Strictly Come Dancing week eight aired tonight and eight stars took to the dance floor to try and earn a place at Blackpool week next weekend. Strictly professional Neil Jones returned to the show this week after a two-week absence due to a horrible leg injury and he and Alex Scott opened the show with an energetic jive. So, who impressed the judges tonight and is currently at the top of the Strictly leaderboard?
Who is at the top of the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard?
Tonight on Strictly Come Dancing, eight couples took to the dance floor to impress the judges and audience at home
Last week, Karim Zeroual and his partner Amy Dowden were at the top of the leaderboard for their flawless performance of the Quickstep.
Tonight, Saffron Barker and AJ Pritchard blew judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Dame Darcey Bussell and Motsi Mabuse away with their performance of the Waltz.
Also leaving a huge impression on the judges was soapstar Kelvin Fletcher and Drag Race judge Michelle Visage.

Unfortunately for Mike Bushell and Katya Jones, their performance of the Paso Doble scored an underwhelming 25/40.
This week, Saffron and AJ were at the top of the Strictly leaderboard with a score of 39 out of 40.
The duo received 10s from judges Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli and a score of nine from Craig Revel Horwood.
Most and Shirley also gave the couple a standing ovation following their performance.
In second place on the leaderboard was Michelle Visage and Giovanni Pernice, who scored 36 out of 40 for their performance of the American Smooth.
In third place were Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse with a score of 35 out of 40 for their performance of the Salsa.

At the bottom of the Strictly leaderboard were Mike Bushell and Katya Jone with a score of 25 out of 40.
Sports presenter Mike Bushell and his partner Katya Jones have found themselves in the dance of three times despite not being at the bottom of the leaderboard each week but unfortunately, tonight did not go so well for the pair.
They were closely followed by Chris Ramsey and his partner Amy Dowden with a score of 26 out of 40 for their performance of the Tango.

Who will win Strictly Come Dancing 2019?
At the moment, Kelvin Fletcher and his partner Oti Mabuse are the favourites to win Strictly Come Dancing across the bookies.
Kelvin had proved very popular in this year’s competition, despite joining the competition last minute to replace injured Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing.
He is currently at odds of 8/11 to win the competition at Skybet, Ladbrokes and Betfair.
The second favourite to win the competition is Karim and Amy, who was top of the leaderboard last week.
They are at odds of 3/1 at odds of Paddypower, Coral and Betfred.
The third favourites to win is Drag Race star Michelle and her partner, Giovanni.
Michelle and Giovanni are at odds of 12/1 at Coral, Skybet and Ladbrokes.
Unfortunately for Mike Bushell, he is the favourite to go.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s hard to see Mike surviving another week as we approach the business end of the series and all the signs point towards an inevitable exit.”
