Strictly fans fret as Kaye Adams shows gruesome injury from ‘lethal’ training

Strictly Come Dancing has been thrown into chaos as Loose Women panellist Kaye Adams suffered a gruesome injury to her ribs.

The star, who is partnered with Kai Widdrington for the 2022 BBC series, has her ribs taped up to prevent further strain after the “lethal” incident.

Kaye, 59, gave fans a glimpse of her bandages on Instagram today (September 30) ahead of Saturday night’s live show – and opened up on exactly how she became injured.

Speaking to Metro, Kaye said: “I slightly mistimed a lift as Kai was chucking me over his shoulder. You know how you bump your elbow on the end of a table? Well, I bumped my rib on Kai’s rock-solid abs.

‘They’re absolutely lethal!”

The star added that she is a “quick healer”, and insisted she is “absolutely fine” after the hard knock.

However, it isn’t the first injury Kaye has suffered since signing up for the BBC dancing show.

She recently showcased her palm looking red and raw, confessing to her “first Strictly injury” and explaining the bizarre way she came about it.

“From over enthusiastic clapping!!!” Kaye told her Instagram followers.

She also opened up about the reaction of her ITV co-stars to her Strictly performance so far, admitting to It Takes Two host Janette Manrara that she was told to “shut up” by her pals.

Kaye said on the show: “They were so supportive, it was absolutely great to have them there.

"I think they said the entire row they brought snacked, there was bread, I mean, there was fruit pastilles going up and down the line!"

Janette added: "They were campaigning in the audience."

"Like you said I'm hardening myself," Kaye said before continuing: "When I came off I was like 'oh no girls, I messed up' and they're like 'shut up, shut up', so you know, it's tough love – very tough love."

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 6:30pm on BBC One.
