Who is in the cast of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker?
Of course, Daisy Ridley returns as Rey with Adam Driver returning as Kylo Ren, and their character arc is one fans are particularly excited by.
Trailers and images have shown Kylo and Rey fighting together, and fighting each other, meaning there could be some huge drama as Rey tries to pull Kylo to the Force, and he tries to move her to the Dark Side.
Other main characters returning are John Boyega as Finn, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, and Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron.

Maz’s voice actress Lupita Nyong’o is returning too along with Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, and Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher’s daughter, as Kaydel Ko Connix.
Of course, the late, great Carrie Fisher will also be appearing, using unseen footage from Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Aa well as this, Mark Hamill is expected to reappear as Luke Skywalker, though fans will remember he disappeared after becoming one with The Force in The Last Jedi.
Some have suggested he will reappear as a “force ghost” in the new film, perhaps with Fisher and maybe even Han Solo (Harrison Ford,) who was seen at the film’s premiere.
STAR WARS SPOILERS: IS THIS PROOF REY AND KYLO HAVE A SPECIAL BOND?
Other than these characters, Anthony Daniels returns as C-3PO and Billy Dee Williams will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian.
Finally, a huge bombshell came when it was announced Ian McDiarmid, former emperor of the galaxy Palpatine, is also making a reappearance.
It is not known how this can be possible given his fate in Return of the Jedi, where he was thrown into the Death Star’s reactor.
However, it may be the malevolent force has lived somehow, and we may see him in the flesh rather than just as a voice plaguing the mind of Kylo Ren.

The most recent version of Lando seen on screen is in Solo: A Star Wars Story, where he was portrayed by Donald Glover.
As well as the oldies returning, some new actors have also joined the cast.

As well as this, Richard E Grant will appear in the film as Allegiant General Pryde, a high-ranking general in the First Order.
It is likely there will be plenty of surprises for fans and even more new characters – and possibly even old – reappearing, but fans will have to wait until the film hits the cinemas.
