Stacey Solomon shares pain at not being able to 'cuddle' grandma on spontaneous camping trip with Joe Swash and baby Rex

STACEY Solomon enjoyed a sweet reunion with her grandma on a spontaneous camping holiday with Joe Swash and baby Rex – but expressed heartache at not being able to "cuddle" her.

The 30-year-old star documented the adventure on her Instagram Story this evening, revealing they'd decided to set off after Rex woke up exceptionally early.

At first, the group had trouble finding a campsite that had a spot left for their new caravan, which Joe bought earlier this month.

However, luck was on their side as they nabbed the last remaining place at one site, in a corner in front of a river – making for a picturesque location.

Stacey then filmed Joe as he battled to erect the tent next to their camper before they set off to take Stacey's grandma for lunch.

The mother-of-three shared a sweet video of her granny interacting with smiling Rex at a restaurant, with Stacey explaining in the caption: "We've drove a little way to come and see my grandma.

"She lives quite far from us… I just love her so, so much and feel so lucky to have her in our lives, I want to see her as much as I can."

Referencing social-distancing rules protecting vulnerable people amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Stacey added a crying emoji as she continued: "I can't wait to properly be allowed to hug her again."

The TV favourite then shared a photo of herself and her grandma smiling while catching up over a cuppa by the river.

Stacey wrote: "We put some chairs out by the river and got the blankets out and made her a nice cup of tea.

"She's back home now, we had such a lovely day and I miss her already.

"Thinking of all of you who have lost grandparents or who are unable to see them at the moment. Love you x."

Despite a perfect day with her loved ones, Stacey confessed that she was having second thoughts about camping as the night drew in.

She said that she found the set-up "scary" and admitted that she wanted to book into a Bed & Breakfast instead.

Filming herself and Joe cuddled up, Stacey told fans: "We've had a lovely day, it's been really nice – but now we have actually got to sleep in this van.

"It's all well and good until the sun goes down, now it's quite scary!"

She added in the post's caption: "Honestly want to book myself into a BnB!"

Stacey and Joe's getaway comes one day after she shared a gushing tribute to her boyfriend on Instagram, admitting she didn't know what she'd do without him.
