Stacey Solomon cuddles smiley baby Rex as Joe Swash enjoys a beer in the sunshine with Jack Fincham on trip abroad

STACEY Soloman has been left holding the baby after her partner Joe Swash jetted abroad for another work trip.

But although the star is smiling in a gorgeous new picture of herself and son Rex, Stacey has admitted to feeling "mum guilt" during a "gut-wrenching" day at home.

Stacey, who gave birth to Rex almost eight weeks ago, took to Instagram and told her followers that she had been trying to keep busy by organising her house.

However, she bravely confessed her feelings had left her with a "physical" pain in her tummy.

Stacey, 29, said: "I feel like I shouldn’t really have these feelings because I’m nearly 8 weeks in and I am so incredibly lucky to have amazing children, a wonderful partner, loves loving, caring, & supportive family and I’m almost a bit embarrassed to say…

"That truth be told, I’m Having a bit of a gut wrenching day. One of those days that physically hurts your tummy. I have absolutely no idea why."

She continued: "Mum guilt has kicked in full swing. Nothing in particular triggers the feeling. It’s just there.

"Tried to keep busy and organise the hell out of the house which has helped for short moments (but also felt guilty about it)."

Stacey, who has been very frank about her emotions since giving birth to her third child, then told her fans that she would be making a "conscious effort" to accept any feelings that "come and go".

Writing about her beautiful picture, she added:  "I found this picture from a few days ago when I caught a rare snap of us both smiling at the same time (and when I’d miraculously found the energy to have fun with my make up drawer).

"I’ve been looking at it all day to remind myself that these feelings WILL pass and every day will be different."

Stacey finished her post, saying: "Thinking of anyone else having a struggle today or any day for that matter."

Earlier this week, Joe sparked criticism from fans after boasting about the "best night's sleep in ages" after enjoying a long nap on a British Airways flight.

The TV presenter has flown to Tenerife for work and some followers felt it was mean towards Stacey, as she regularly speaks about how exhausted she is since having Rex.

Joe has now posed for a snap in the sunshine with former Love Island winner Jack Fincham, who is also on the Spanish isle filming for ITV.

ITV star Andi Peters has flown to Tenerife too.

This is Joe's second work trip abroad since Rex's birth at the end of May.

In June, Joe was whisked away on a Disney cruise for nine days, once again leaving Stacey at home with the baby and her older sons, Leighton, seven, and Zachary, 11.

Unfortunately, the cruise coincided with a major milestone – Rex's first smile.

At the time, former EastEnders star Joe wrote on Instagram: "How is my luck. I had 2 go away for work and Rex has his first smile, gutted."
