Spoilers: Sharon loses baby Kayden forever as Karen exits EastEnders?
Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) made a resounding return to EastEnders, and it soon becomes apparent that — in spite of her inability to look after him following Dennis Rickman’s (Bleu Landau) death — she’s starting to feel something for son Kayden, but with Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) set to exit, will she lose her child forever?
Sharon felt unable to look after baby Kayden following his birth, as she was grieving for the loss of Dennis, and therefore she gave him to Karen to take care of.
Following a brief break from Walford, she returned home, and evidently began to question her decision to give up her newborn son.
We know that she drops off some leftover baby items with Karen, and the launderette manager subsequently asks her to watch Kayden.
Later, Karen returns home to find Sharon asleep with the baby, and therefore she reminds her that it’s never to late to change her mind.
In the coming episodes, Karen reveals that she’s leaving later that day, but reminds Sharon that there’s plenty of time to say goodbye — something which leaves her conflicted.
Later, Billy (Perry Fenwick) and Lola (Danielle Harold) are concerned, as Sharon informs Will that he can help himself to Dennis’ belongings.

Afterwards, Billy shares a difficult reality with Sharon about Kayden, and thus she goes to say goodbye to her son.
The question is: will she truly be able to let him go?
