Spoilers: Sam plots a violent revenge after Lydia is attacked in Emmerdale

Living up to his Dingle name, Sam (James Hooton) will plan a violent revenge in upcoming episodes of Emmerdale after Lydia (Karen Blick) is attacked.

Despite Sam and Samson’s (Sam Hall) best efforts, Lydia sees what’s been posted about her online and she is heartbroken by it.

The next day, when a brick is thrown through their window, protective Samson is worried about leaving Lydia alone.

He urges her to call the police but Sam wants to settle things the Dingle way.

As Lydia won’t condone violence, she assures Sam she can manage a solo trip to the police station to report the harassment.

When she does leave the Dingles, Lydia is mugged by two lads out for revenge about the pension scam.

When Sam turns up, he chases the lads away and Samson is clearly upset he didn’t protect Lydia.

Back in the house, Sam is fuming about what happened to Lydia and puzzles as to why Samson isn’t equally fired up for revenge.

Samson finds himself caught between Sam’s desire for violent revenge and Lydia’s hope for no more trouble, but will Sam ignore what Lydia has said and get his own back?

If Sam settles things ‘the Dingle way’ – how will that impact his relationship with Lydia?
