Spoilers: Alya exposes Yasmeen's evil abuser Geoff in Corrie?

For many weeks, the coercive control and abuse from Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) has been leaving Coronation Street fans devastated as Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) has become a husk of her usual confident and cheerful self.

With gaslighting and emotional manipulation, Geoff has made her question everything about herself and chipped away at her self esteem in a cruel and obsessive campaign to run her life. Alya (Sair Khan) has never been sold on Geoff but as his mask continues to slip and his actions get worse, is she about to discover how he is treating his nan and expose him for the narcissist that he is?

When Alya stops working at the bistro for creepy Ray Crosby (Mark Frost), Yasmeen is only too happy for her to return to Speed Daal but Geoff is forced to paint on a very fake smile. However, his control soon rears its head again when he tells them off for talking when they should be working.

Later, Yasmeen casually says her back hurts because Geoff makes her vacuum under the sofa and Alya is concerned. Geoff then plays games with Alya by showing her a nasty review online about the restaurant and suggests that it’s clearly aimed at her.

Alya later opens up to Yasmeen about how Geoff was pointing the finger but Yasmeen defends her. Later, Geoff returns home and is unimpressed to find that she doesn’t have his dinner on the table.

Yasmeen apologises, saying she lost track of time while tending to the chickens but when she serves up a plate of vegetables and explains that the couldn’t afford any meet, Geoff’s mood darkens and there’s a real sense of foreboding.

Later, Yasmeen is crying outside as she feeds her chickens and Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) overhears. As she confides in Alya about what she heard, she is deeply worried and determines to get to the bottom of it. But is she set to fi9nd out the nasty truth about evil Geoff?

And can she persuade Yasmeen that she is trapped in an abusive relationship?
