Sex And The City’s Sarah Jessica Parker nearly falls out of her huge pink dress at party in New York – The Sun

IN a move her fashionista Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw might wince at, actress Sarah Jessica Parker endured a nightmare of a wardrobe malfunction at a swanky event in New York.
The Hollywood star, who played the journalist and style-savvy beauty for the TV series and two films, chose an eye-popping ruffled fuchsia gown for her night out at the New York City Ballet Fall Fashion Gala, held at the David H. Koch Theatre.
Sarah, 54, who is married to fellow American actor Matthew Broderick, made sure her cleavage-enhancing billowing outfit, by designer Zac Posen, took all the attention, by accessorising with a simple pair of sparkling earrings.
She kept her make-up natural and scraped her long blonde hair into her signature high bun style.
The SATC favourite navigated a pair of stone steps in the West Village expertly as she juggled the trickiness of a stiletto heel with a wide hemline.
She struck a smile for the waiting photographers as she headed over to meet her friends at the stylish affair.
Yet as she did so she appeared to get her shoe caught in the bottom of the dress.
An almost identical near miss happened when she was on the entrance to the venue itself, and again when posing for photographs against a white backdrop, where her chest nearly slipped from the boob tube neckline.
This caused her to peer down towards the floor and check just what was causing her red carpet blunders.
By doing so, she drew additional attention to her shoes and footwear, with her left strappy sandal in a yellow colour and the other in a hot pink shade matching her dress.
Sarah, who opened a shoe boutique last year, also wore mis-matching footwear in her role as Carrie, when the character visited LA.
Yet ever the pro, SJP continued with the publicity and photo poses before heading inside.
She later took to her Instagram page to brand the evening "magical".
Sarah posted: "One of those nights. So magical you need proof it really happened.
"To all friends and patrons who joined us last night and every year at our Fall Gala, to our wonderful designers @zacposen @annasui who brought all their skill and devotion.
"To our inspired choreographers @laurenlovette @edwaardliang, to the rapturous orchestra and it's leader Michael Linton and to the extraordinary dancers of the @nycballet who are deservedly on the receiving end of bravos after every performance I am indebted, in awe and most grateful. X"
