'RHOD' LeeAnne Locken Is 'Tired of Getting Blamed' for Resurfacing Brandi Redmond's Controversial Video

In a resurfaced clip, Brandi Redmond seemingly mocked Asians and received a ton of negative backlash for it, causing her to check into a wellness center. The video, which Redmond made three years ago in response to D’Andra Simmons referring to her eyes as “squinty,” coincidentally resurfaced on the heels of LeeAnne Locken’s controversial racial remarks.

Redmond doesn’t believe it was a coincidence and thinks the people involved in leaking the video had malicious intent. Because Locken’s wedding planner is the one who tweeted it out, fans assumed the Infinity Dress creator possibly gave it to him. However, Locken defended herself on Instagram and claimed she had “absolutely” nothing to do with it and is “tired of getting blamed” for the controversy.

Brandi Redmond controversial video resurfaced

Almost immediately after Part 1 of the Real Housewives of Dallas Season 4 Reunion aired, LeeAnne Locken’s wedding planner, Steve Kemble, tweeted a video of Brandi Redmond seemingly mocking Asians.

In his caption, he demanded Redmond apologize for calling Locken a racist or receive the label as well. In the clip, Redmond used a high-pitched voice with broken English to say, “Oh, everybody ask me what Asian I am because my eyes, they squinty. But, I have a new hair-do” with her two daughters laughing in the background.

Some fans immediately came for Redmond, and she defended her “impression” by insisting she was making fun of herself. After going back and forth with several people on Twitter, Redmond finally apologized.

However, many viewers didn’t accept her apology and continued harassing her on social media until she checked into a wellness center because she “didn’t feel like living anymore.”

After returning from her hiatus, Redmond apologized again but pointed out the housewives who resurfaced the video had malicious intent. Even though she didn’t name anyone, fans knew she meant LeeAnne Locken.

Brandi Redmond blamed LeeAnne Locken and Steve Kemble for the video

Other housewives have accused Locken’s wedding planner, Steve Kemble, of creating fake accounts to harass them and do her dirty work. When Redmond first started defending herself in now-deleted tweets, she implied Locken recorded the video and sent it to Kemble to release at the right time.

They believe the Infinity Dress creator did this to deflect attention away from herself as she had to own up to her several racially motivated comments toward Kary Brittingham during the reunion.

In Redmond’s 11-minute apology, she claimed particular housewives recorded and released the video with ill-will. She also noted she would no longer be a “victim” of Kemble and Kameron Westcott, who also posted the video, in a now-edited accompanying caption.

LeeAnne Locken denies any involvement with the video

After Redmond released her apology, fans jumped into Locken’s Instagram comment section for her reaction. One user supporting the housewife commented on how “strong” she must be to handle how the other ladies treated her at the reunion.

Another responded, writing, “but to get them back, she leaked an old video of her friend. Who does that!” Locken answered, “I absolutely had nothing to do with that, and I [am] tired of getting blamed for a video I had no part in making!”

Even though Locken denied any involvement with the controversial clip leak, fans believe she at least knew something due to her close friendship with Kemble. Additionally, the wedding planner does have a history of tormenting housewives on Locken’s behalf.
