'RHOA': Is Nene Leakes Quitting After Season 12?
Nene Leakes is off to a rough start on season 12 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The reality show star is feuding with most of the cast and was close to not returning to the Bravo series. There are rumors now that point to this season being her last as she is finding things going on behind-the-scenes that are not fair.
“I don’t know…I really don’t know that. Never really know what I’m doing until the season is over and we talk about it,” Leakes told Hollywood Life about returning to RHOA.
Fans are aware that Leakes was missing from the two first episodes of season 12. The reason for her absence was because she had not signed a contract to appear. As negotiations with the actress continued, production had already commenced.
“I just think there’s a lot of things that aren’t fair,” she added. “Just things that — Behind the scenes things that you guys don’t get to see. So I just have to talk with my team and decide what’s best for me.”
Nene Leakes vs Kenya Moore
Kenya Moore returned to RHOA after taking a season off. Upon her return, her friendship with Leakes was fractured. Many fans believe that Moore was the reason Leakes played hardball in singing her contract with Bravo.
“No, [Kenya’s return] didn’t frustrate me,” Leakes also told Hollywood Life. “I don’t care to think about Kenya. I’m a pretty strong girl, and Kenya honestly cannot handle me.”
The drama between the Atlanta housewives goes back to when Moore announced she was pregnant.
“When I had a high-risk pregnancy, that I wanted my entire life, she never once called me,” Moore said on The Wendy Williams Show. “When I did show up, she never checked on my child. She never said, ‘Is everything okay?’ when she learned I wasn’t going to be on the show. She never said, ‘Are you okay girl, do you need anything?’ And then when she did see me eight months pregnant, she called me a monster and said that my child was a buffalo and she was hurling insults.”
Nene Leakes vs Cynthia Bailey
Leakes is also feuding with Cynthia Bailey after rumors reached the former that the latter was talking behind her back. On the latest episode of RHOA, Leakes addressed her issues with Bailey over lunch with co-star Kandi Burruss.
“I don’t care what Cynthia has said, I’m just telling you that she has,” Leakes told Burruss. “Not only that, she spoke to someone else that we both know in common and talked about me like a dog and unfortunately for her, they recorded everything she said.”
The former The New Normal actress revealed there is “some sort of audio of Cynthia saying really horrible things about me.” She told Burruss that it was a mutual friend that recorded Bailey talking about her.
When word got to Bailey that Leakes had audio, the former model dismissed the claims.
“I don’t give a damn about the receipts. I don’t care what she has recorded, I don’t care what she got to say about me,” Bailey said. “The bottom line is, as long as I was kissing her a** and her friend, I was Michelle Obama. The minute that I wasn’t, I’m over here dirt on the floor. So she can keep her recordings and stick it them up her a**. And I mean all the way up her a**.”
