Pussycat Dolls' Ashley Roberts forced to shut down fashion firm after haemorrhaging cash

PUSSYCAT Dolls star Ashley Roberts can count herself as a singer, dancer and presenter, but she can’t add successful entrepreneur to that list.

I’ve learned she’s been forced to shut down the fashion brand Allyn Collections she launched in 2017 because it was haemorrhaging cash.

The singer had been flogging £400 pairs of boots and £200 sandals but closed the website due to poor sales.

Allyn Collections Ltd has now been dissolved and struck from the register at Companies House after failing to send in documents stating it wished to continue trading.

A source close to Ashley said: “She launched Allyn Collections with really good intentions but it didn’t take off at all.

“The company had been kept open because Ashley hoped there would be something that could be done to revive it.

“But ultimately the sales just weren’t there and it’s just not been worth the work.

"Ashley has plenty of other things to focus on, such as her presenting career and the return of the Pussycat Dolls, so she’s putting her energy into those instead.”

Speaking at its launch, American Ashley, who now lives in London, said: “I was sitting in my flat in Notting Hill and thinking about how I wanted something that was mine — my own little business.

“I have a total shoe addiction and my wardrobes in both LA and London are stacked with boxes and boxes of shoes — it’s ridiculous.

“So I reached out to a few people I knew who designed shoes and it just started organically unfolding.”

The Pussycat Dolls announced in November they were reforming for a tour this year.

Unfortunately it was postponed until October due to coronavirus and it’s unclear if the dates will even be able to go ahead then.

That pay cheque will be very welcome when it finally arrives.

Anne-Marie aims for US rapper

ANNE-MARIE is one of the UK’s most promising pop stars and now she’s set to make a big impression in the US by teaming up with America’s most exciting new rapper.

I can reveal she has recorded a song with Doja Cat, who is responsible for one of the year’s biggest tunes, Say So, which reached No1 in the States and No2 here.

She features on Anne-Marie’s upcoming single To Be Young, which is expected to be released later this summer.

A music insider said: “Anne-Marie has had a string of huge singles over the past few years but really wants to go bigger and better on her second album.

“Getting Doja Cat on board is a big deal because they both have such dedicated fan bases globally.

“Things are on pause at the moment because of lockdown but the plan is that it will be out in the next few months.”

Anne-Marie came into Bizarre HQ in February to launch her single Birthday, the first track to be taken from her second album, and revealed then that she had already finished writing it.

She teamed up with pal Ed Sheeran to work on the record but the release of music from it was put on ice when the UK went into lockdown.

But with restrictions starting to ease now, some brilliant pop hits should soon be flooding in.

TONY Blackburn misses Radio 2 colleague Dermot O’Leary’s scent while he’s unable to hit the studio for his Saturday show due to lockdown.

The DJ said: “He smells beautiful. As soon as I smell Dermot I know the weekend has begun.”

That mask be Hailey

PROVING her credentials as a top model, Hailey Bieber can even make a face mask look glam.

She was photographed heading to a skin care clinic in Beverly Hills on Thursday, along with husband Justin.

Dressed in a crop top and bold green jacket, Hailey was glowing despite the fabric shielding her face.

I bet Justin will be hoping people like her look in this snap, as the mask is from his own Drew clothing line.

Hailey didn’t look quite as fussed about protecting herself from the virus on Wednesday, though.

She was seen out enjoying a run with pal Kendall Jenner, with neither wearing a mask, before later going to a gym together.

No lockdown is going to stop that pair staying slim, clearly.

Tat's Paloma's career plan B

IF Paloma Faith’s day job goes down the drain, she has a back-up plan which could earn her a small fortune from her celebrity pals.

The Crybaby singer has revealed she is eyeing up an alternative career as an interior designer because she’s convinced she could renovate old tat to sell on at a huge mark-up.

She explained: “It’s a real passion for me.

“I’m quite good at finding bargains and making them look really expensive.

“I could get really cheap stuff and make rich people pay me a huge amount of money to put it in their homes.”

It might be a nice little earner, but the star is focusing on her music for now.

When lockdown started, she set up a home studio to complete her fifth album, which is the follow-up to 2017 No1 The Architect.

It is expected to be out later this year.

After a three-year wait, Paloma must be raring to get back just as much as her fans are eager to hear her new tracks.

JENNIFER Lopez has used lockdown to work on new music, expected to form her as-yet-un- titled ninth studio album.

She wrote: “It’s summer time and we’re cookin’ up something. I cannot wait for you to hear what we’ve been working on.”

Celeste gig promise

BRIT musician Celeste has vowed to lift people’s spirits by touring as soon as possible.

The Stop This Flame singer, who won the BBC Sound Of 2020 poll and the Brits Rising Star award, said: “I’m itching to get out and play some shows.

“As soon as we can do some shows I’ll be out.”

She has just released her new song I Can See The Change, from her as-yet-untitled debut album, which she revealed has been delayed by lockdown.

Speaking on Radio 2, Celeste said: “I’m still writing for my album.

"Initially it was going to be finished in April and out in September, but hopefully everyone will get to hear it in December or early 2021.”

Abreast of the situation

MYLEENE Klass made a right boob of herself after accidentally burning one of her breasts with hair straighteners.

After dropping the appliance while styling her locks, the former Hear’ Say singer was left pressing a Tumble The Tiger kids’ ice pack on to her chest in this shot shared on Instagram.

Alongside other tastefully covered topless snaps, Myleene wrote: “Burned my boob! Dropped my hair straighteners on it. Idiot.”

She added: “A bag of ice and the last post! Happy Friday!”

I can only hope she keeps us abreast of the situation.

JAMIE Foxx’s biopic of Mike Tyson is finally going to be made.

The actor, currently bulking up to look like the boxer, said: “It’s a definitive yes. Doing biographies is tough. Sometimes it takes 20 years but we officially got the real ball rolling.”

Fresh music from Noel

NOEL Gallagher has teamed up with Andrew Cushin to liven up his music as lockdown eases.

The Oasis legend helped the Newcastle singer-songwriter get started after being sent some of his demos.

A music insider said: “Noel and Andrew have been recording this week and the results are sounding good.

"He thinks Andrew has real talent and has been getting a helping hand from him on his new music.

"Noel has also played guitar on a demo for Andrew this week.”

Some fresh music from Noel would certainly lift my spirits this summer.
