Pregnant Joss Stone reveals labour fears and says 'what if I split in half?'

PREGNANT Joss Stone said "what if I split in half?" as she revealed her fears over giving birth to her first child.

The Brit singer admitted the thought of going into labour has given her sleepless nights and anxiety.

Joss, who is six months pregnant, said in an interview with People: "I was having these moments. … I remember I woke up one night, and I sat on the edge of the bed, and I said to Cody, 'Oh no,' and I burst into tears.

"I said, 'I've got to get it out. At some point it has to come out. Now it's in. My God, Jesus. What if I split in half?' You don't read about that."

Doctors warned the 33-year-old she needs plenty of bed rest, but she insisted she has already cut back on her work commitments.

The celeb added: "I'm doing fine. I feel all right.

"The doctor's saying, 'You know, you really need to just not do anything.' I'm like, 'Well, I'm kind of not doing anything.' He's like, 'No, you really actually have to lie down horizontal.' I'm like, 'Oh, I'm not really used to that.' "

Joss shared the happy news she's expecting her first baby on her A Cuppa Happy Podcast.

She made her big reveal during a chat with British food writer Ella Mills, otherwise known as Deliciously Ella.

Breaking the pregnancy news the excited You Had Me vocalist said: "Guess what? I am going to have a little baby too!

“I am so excited to talk to you [Ella Mills] because I don’t know many pregnant women.

“I am week 17 and I just stopped being sick all the time."

She confirmed she was feeling OK after her first trimester had passed, and added: “Isn’t it mad when you’ve got someone growing inside of you. Jeez.

"My boyfriend kept saying to me: ‘Pain is temporary'. Temporary, it is temporary. Oh my god it is horrible. Leave me alone! I am just going to cry."

Speaking of her fears she went on: "I woke up in the middle of the night – randomly – and I was like: “Oh my god I am really scared!

"I just got really terrified of having to push it out."

Joss is in a relationship with American musician Cody, the father to her unborn child, but previously revealed her relationship woes as she "couldn't find a man."

She was even tempted by an arranged marriage and told Mirror Online: "When it goes well, it's lovely and so romantic.

"Sometimes they really are in love, and I always want it to work out.

“When it goes well, it's lovely and so romantic. I love romance: I've also started watching Indian Matchmaker.

“I considered arranged marriages before I met Cody, because I couldn't find a man."

Last summer, the mum-to-be was branded "deluded" after she encouraged GMB viewers to "be happy" in the midst of a global pandemic, while promoting her podcast.

The British soul singer, who rose to fame as a teenager and is a friend of Prince Harry, grew up in Devon but now lives in the Caribbean.

She told ITV viewers: "Everyone has a choice in life unless they are a slave or in prison" – but the more she spoke the more she annoyed viewers.

Joss was branded "out of touch" and "virtue signalling" after telling viewers to "grab moments of happiness" as she raved about Boris Johnson's plan to pump £1.57bn of investment into the arts after the coronavirus pandemic.

One viewer tweeted: "So sick of all these celebs who don’t even live in the UK anymore who come on #GMB virtue signalling… wish they’d just f**k off!"
