Piers Morgan reignites feud with Kirstie Allsopp as he brands her 'cretinous' months after she called him a 'b*****d'

PIERS Morgan branded Kirstie Allsopp "cretinous" in a blistering post – months after she called him a "total b*****d".

The 55-year-old star was reacting to the Location, Location, Location host's tweet that trampolining was more dangerous to children than coronavirus.

She wrote: "Covid is a horrible disease but it is very, very, very rare for it to impact children.

"They are still at far more danger from journeys in cars, or swimming, or trampolining than Covid. Please do not let anyone persuade you otherwise."

Piers tweeted: "Of all the people I least want to hear from when it comes to expert advice on coronavirus, TV estate agent Kirstie Allsopp and her cretinous trampoline analogies are top of the list."

Kirstie, 49, spent much of the weekend railing against the BBC, saying Radio 5 Live was "deliberately frightening parents & kids about the new variant" of coronavirus.

The station had conducted an interview with Laura Duffel, the matron of a London hospital, who said: "It was minimally affecting children in the first wave… we now have a whole ward of children here."

She insisted: "This tweet is a lie and the fact that @bbc5live have still not removed it is a terrible stain on the reputation of the BBC."

GMB host Piers and property expert Kirstie have tangled on Twitter before, with her branding him a "total b*****d".

The star had been complaining about criticism she's received after being accused of leaving London for Devon while her husband had suspected coronavirus.

She wrote: "The last 24 hours has been utterly horrible, full of vile, unpleasant and frankly frightening comments."

But Piers retweeted her post, writing: "Kirstie, you’re rich, privileged & isolating in a lavish country home with your family.

"Maybe stop making this crisis about your struggle with trolls & direct your energy into rallying support for NHS workers risking their lives for us all in very dangerous circumstances?"

But she hit back, posting: "You total B*****D there was NO need to Retweet that to your millions of followers, it was totally unnecessary and unkind thing to do."
