Peaky Blinders season 6: Is Alfie still dying of cancer? Will he return?
Peaky Blinders fans were ecstatic when Camden gangster Alfie Solomons (played by Tom Hardy) returned at the end of season five despite being seemingly killed off in the series before. However, viewers will remember Solomons admitted he was already dying at the end of season four.
Is Alfie still dying of cancer on Peaky Blinders?
In the shocking finale for season five of Peaky Blinders, Alfie Solomons was revealed to be alive and well, living in Margate.
This came after he was seemingly shot dead by Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) for his betrayal to the Americans at the end of season four.
Viewers watched as the pair had a major final confrontation on a beach in Margate before Tommy shot him down.
However, the gangster revealed when they met again that he was actually only injured and then spent many months recovering in hospital.

Since then, he has been living a quieter life in Margate and conducting his business from there.
He then played a big role in the final episode, collaborating with Tommy to help cause a commotion at Oswald Mosley’s (Sam Claflin) rally in Birmingham.
The last viewers saw of him in the fifth outing was Alfie crowding over the radio, urging Tommy’s plan to work.
Viewers are hopeful this means the former Camden-based gangster will be returning again for another outing when the series returns for series six.
However, when Tommy and Alfie had their fateful showdown at the end of season four, Alfie revealed he was already dying.
He said: “The only thing I’ve got on me is f****** cancer mate.
“Riddled with it – doctor told me I might have picked it up in France from the gas or something.
“He even showed me a photograph of it before I meet you at the fight.
“So I said, ‘Margate’ right, and here I am. Come on Tommy, there’s an honourable reason now to pull that trigger.”

However, when the pair met up again at the end of season five three years later, his illness is not mentioned.
All Alfie mentioned was about how he was having some oil rubbed into parts of his body that were really hurting.
If the character is to return again for another series on the BBC, it is likely this will be addressed once again.
The director of season four Anthony Byrne revealed more about the character’s resurrection on the Obsessed With Peaky Blinders podcast.
