Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry reveal their missing dog has died as the actor breaks down in tears and gets tattoo tribute – The Sun

ORLANDO Bloom and Katy Perry have revealed their dog Mighty has died after going missing.

The actor, 43, broke down in tears as he got a tattoo of the red poodle's name on his chest in honor of his beloved pup.

Orlando got Mighty's name and a heart inked on his chest and wiped away tears as he looked at the tattoo, in an emotional video he posted on Instagram.

The star's teacup poodle went missing last Tuesday and he hired a professional pet detective to help search for the pup.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean actor explained on Wednesday that after a week of tireless searching, they found Mighty's collar and knew he had died.

Orlando wrote: "Mighty’s on the other side now. After 7 days of searching from sunrise to sunset and into the wee hours, today, the 7th day ~ the number of completion ~ we found his collar…"

He continued: "I have wept more this week than I thought possible, which has been very cathartic and healing… I left no stone unturned, crawled thru all the man holes, under the roads, searched every back yard and creek bed.

"Had two separate sniffer dogs do their best as well. I feel so grateful to have learned from my little Mighty man that love is eternal and the true meaning of devotion."

The Lord Of The Rings star went on: "I feel sure he was looking down on me whistling in every back yard and knowing that I was doing all I possibly could to respect our bond. He was more than a companion.

"It was a soul connection for sure. I’m sorry. I love you. Thank you. RIP my MIGHTY HEART my little fellow A ♠️’s."

Orlando then thanked his neighbors for letting him search through their years for Mighty and for "supporting my midnight walks".

He concluded: "It was reassuring to see the best of people even in the worst of times."

Pregnant Katy shared her fiance's heartfelt post and added: "We’ll miss our little buddy boy, Nugget’s brother so much.

"Forever a paw shaped hole in our hearts."

Orlando had announced that Mighty was missing last Wednesday.

"MIGHTY IS MISSING in Montecito, California. He is chipped and his collar has a number to call – if you take him to your local vet or shelter or police station, he can be traced back to me," the actor wrote.

"For a reward please only send real info, my heart is already broken so please don’t add insult to injury."

Katy, 35, also put up lost dog posters offering a $5,000 reward for Mighty’s return.

The couple were seen walking around their neighborhood last week trying to find their beloved pup.

Emotional Orlando described his loss as a “waking nightmare" and said he was suffering "sleepless nights".

Katy and Orlando announced that they're expecting their first child together back in March 2020.

The expectant parents haven't revealed her due date but the singer appeared to hint at the fact her bundle of joy could be arriving in July/August 2020.
