Olly Murs hangs up on Mark Wright after he asks The Masked Singer question

Olly Murs hung up on Mark Wright live on air after he quizzed the singer on whether he was Robin from The Masked Singer UK.

The pals were talking on Mark’s Heart radio show when the former Towie star started asking questions about the weird and wacky programme.

Since the series returned to our screens fans have been speculating as to which celebs are hidden underneath the masks – and Olly’s name has been thrown into the mix.

Mark, who has also been accused of being Robin said to The Voice coach: ‘I’m not going to say anything for now, but, are you the Robin?’

‘Of course I’m not,’ Olly protested. To which Mark replied: ‘Are you actually not?’

Olly continued: ‘I can’t actually…if I was Robin I wouldn’t be able to tell you would I? But I think…I’m definitely not Robin, yeh.’

‘What else do you want me to say? Definitely not me.’

‘I don’t know if you’re being sincere,’ Mark laughed.’ You sound a bit…’

Not letting it go, Mark insisted then insisted Olly sing a verse from Justin Timberlake’s I can’t Stop The Feeling, the same song Robin sang on The Masked Singer.

After comparing the two voices next to each other, Mark asked: ‘Just do it one more time?’

Out of nowhere, Olly hung up the phone as he said: ‘Mate I’ve got to go sorry…”

As he laughed, Mark added: ‘He’s gone, I think we’ve stitched him.’

Uh oh!

Last weekend, Martine McCutcheon was the latest celebrity to be revealed on the show.

The Love Actually star was unveiled as the Swan, although, she said she could have been Robin.

‘We had some Zoom meetings and they had these really amazing drawings that they were showing me,’ she told us.

‘They showed me Robin and they showed Swan and they just wanted to find things that were kind of very loosely linked and that the only people that really knew me would know.’

The Masked Singer returns on Saturday ay 7pm on ITV.
