Nick Knowles' sons defend their dad's singing but admit his guitar playing is better

During his time on the ITV programme the DIY SOS star received a letter from his kids telling him his track Make You Feel My Love shot to Number One on the iTunes chart.

Despite the recognition, Nick's kids believe he should stick to playing instruments rather than belting out ballads.

Speaking on Lorraine today, TJ said: "He loves singing so much, he is so musical.

"He plays a guitar so well. His singing isn't half bad as well."

Charles added: "He's definitely better at the guitar than he is at singing."

Nick's son's say their campmate dad is very musicalSince being told about his musical success during his time in the jungle, the 56-year-old hasn't stopped singing.

In last night's episode Nick showed off his musical ability as he sang and played the guitar for his campmates.

The moment received praise from his campmates. Entertainer John Barrowman said: "Man of many talents", before he rolled his eyes and awkwardly looked away.

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, James McVey said: "Some may say he’s singing more now after hearing the news. Is he going for the Christmas number one? Who knows.”

Emily Atack said: "Nick played his number one tune for us, it was some viral material right there. It was epi … Guitar went away karaoke came out."

Viewers were not impressed with his vocals either.  One social media user tweeted: "Nick Knowles singing… Oh my ears are bleeding. Please stop!"

Another wrote: "Oh my god Nick Knowles is LITERAL Alan Partridge with this singing jazz!! Cringe to. The. Max."

A third added: "Hope Nick is off next. Don't know what was worse, seeing him in his pants or his singing. Hurts my ears and my eyes."

Although Nick's brood have praised his musical talents, they agree with the public and were shocked by the red Speedos.

When Lorraine Kelly asked about the wardrobe item, TJ said: "We don't know anything about those. We've never seen those before."

Scott added: "I've been taking a lot of abuse from my mates to be honest. But if he's got it, flaunt it."
