Netflix reveals shocking message Don’t F**k with Cats’ psycho killer sent to those hunting him – The Sun
NETFLIX has released a deleted scene from their acclaimed new documentary Don't F**k with Cats which reveals the psycho killer sent a sick warning to one of his hunters that left her "unable to sleep".
Deanna Thompson, aka Baudi Moovan, was part of the online community who helped to catch the cat killer and murderer Luka Magnotta, who is now serving a life sentence for the killing of Lin Jun.
However, a new clip reveals that Thompson was stalked by Luka who suggested that she was as responsible for his killings as Luka.
"At one point, this isn’t in the film, Deanna Thompson got a message, she knew it was from him, she suspected it was from Luka at the time, and weirdly it was this quote from Nietzsche," said director Mark Lewis.
"The message read: ‘Whoever fights monsters should see to it in the process he does not become a monster, and if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back at you.’ What that means is, the more obsessed you become in hunting the monster, you almost become the monster," explained Mark.
"You become as ugly and obsessive as the monster himself."
He added: "I think that was a sort of extraordinary moment for her, where she realised 'oh my god, I’ve become, my world has become so dark, I’ve inhabited this world of this kitten killer and murderer – this wannabe murderer – for so long, I’m beginning to think like him, I’m beginning to sort of feel like him'."
The three-part documentary reveals how one of the first examples of a cyber killer fell through the cracks of police forces around the world.
Don’t F**k With Cats shows how a team of armchair amateurs hunted down the narcissist by exploiting the weakness that was also his motivation to kill — a desperate need for attention.
Over 18 months, a group of internet experts tracked the online activity of the 30-year-old Canadian and helped an international manhunt snare him.
In the series, Thompson admitted that she has been left "wide awake at night" over her fears that she contributed to the murder of 33-year-old Lin because they continued to hunt Magnotta and give him what he wanted: attention.
"One of the things that still bothers me about this time in my life and that keeps me up sometimes at night, is were we complicit in Luka’s crimes?" she said.
"When we look at ourselves in the mirror, are we proud of ourselves? Are we ashamed of what happened? Maybe I did exactly what Luka wanted."
