Naked Beach viewers OUTRAGED over pre-watershed scenes

Naked Beach caused controversy on Thursday night when it made its debut on Channel 4.

The show sees four British people with body issues spend time with body-confident people to see if it improves their self-esteem.

But the catch is they’re naked the entire time apart from some nude-coloured pants.

Despite the inspiring message, some viewers were shocked to see naked bodies all over they TV screens before the 9pm watershed.

Numerous fans rushed to social media to hit out at the scheduling, including some angry parents.

“What happened to the 9pm watershed? Great message about body confidence but bit early for so much nakedness especially during school holidays,” said one viewer.

“Obviously Channel 4 flaunting the watershed rules again!” said a second outraged fan.

A third said: “Accidentally tuned into this programme and said what the hell is this? Naked people on a beach on telly before the watershed”.

While an angry parent added: “Channel hopping and Naked Beach appears! Does the watershed not apply anymore?”

Mental health campaigner Natasha Devon oversees the show, which will air every week on Channel 4.

She told The Sun: “Britain has some of the lowest body image scores in the world.

“Studies show that 75% of women are unhappy with the way they look and 45 per cent of men hate what they see in the mirror.”

Daily Star Online has contacted a Channel 4 spokesman for comment.
