Myles Stephenson shares emotional tribute to Joe Lyons and says he’s ‘annoyed he wasn’t able to notice anything wrong’

MYLES Stephenson has paid tribute to Captial FM producer Joe Lyons and said his "heart is hurting".

The Rak-Su singer said the pair had talked about Joe's future just weeks ago and shared his frustrations, writing: "I'm confused and annoyed that I wasn’t able to notice something was wrong".

Myles, 28, added on Twitter: "It goes to show that we rarely ever know what someone is going through! RIP my bro Joe Lyons.

"We all need to check in on our friends and loved ones more often! NON of us do it enough, a quick message or a 5 minute call can save a life! Don’t believe me… TRY IT."

Joe was a much-loved member of the Capital FM team, often referred to as Producer Joe.

Roman Kemp revealed he "passed away very suddenly" on August 4, 2020.

However Joe's cause of death has not been revealed.

Roman spoke about his "best friend" Joe and choking up on air yesterday, he said: "We wanted to share some really sad news. I never thought I’d have to do this ever.

"Last Tuesday, very suddenly, we lost one of our best friends. Our producer Joe, he was a member of the Capital Breakfast family.

"We are trying to process this all together. We wanted to share this news with you.

He continued: "Joe had worked for Global, the parent company, for nine years.

"He was the very first person I met when I walked through the door. I remember thinking he was a bit of a Del Boy.

"He was with me right from my very first show. He taught me everything I didn't know about sitting in a radio studio without him."

After Roman made his emotional tribute to his pal he went and got a tattoo in memory of him.

Joe's friend and Capital Breakfast presenter Vick Hope, shared her heartbreak as well.

Sharing a series of pictures of them, she wrote: "Our Joe. My Joe Joe. My special, magical, beautiful friend. We signed off every message with "I love you, buddy", and yet I’m worried I still didn’t tell you enough.

"Look at everything you made, Joe. Everything you achieved, what you built, who you inspired.."
