On Monday’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! the remaining campmates bid farewell to Sue Cleaver, who was the latest star to leave the jungle. The soap star yelled for joy when hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced that Sue was being evicted. During her chat with the comedy duo, Sue opened up about her connection with Mike Tindall and how he was her “camp husband” in the jungle.

Reflecting on her exit on Tuesday night’s instalment, Mike admitted he felt he and Sue had gotten divorced.

“It’s a tough morning,” the royal began before adding: “It’s almost like I’ve gone through a divorce and a political break-up in one sitting.

“I lost my camp wife and the Odds and Sods lost their deputy, which left a vast hole.”

Boy George, who landed in the bottom two with Sue said: “I was kind of like, I’d like to stay, I’d like to go.

“Either would be good because you’re onto the next adventure.”

After Ant and Dec had revealed Sue would be leaving, Seann Walsh joked in the Bush Telegraph: “Sue has gone. Obviously, she is over the moon about that, hid it well.”

Owen Warner later said about his campmate: “She’s an amazing woman and I feel honoured to have met her.”

As she sat down to reflect on her time in the jungle, the Coronation Street star admitted it was her time to go.

“My time is done. Yes, I am done,” the soap star explained after completing 17 days in camp.

“It is lovely watching it back, those guys are amazing.

“Camp life I have loved, but you can stuff your trials where the sun doesn’t shine frankly.

“I had enough and hit a wall, it is the anxiety and not knowing and not having control over your life. That is so weird.”

When asked about her camp husband, Sue told the hosts: “We just connected instantly, we have a similar sense of humour.

“He has been such a support and he is such a hugger, he is a rugger hugger and a top man, a lovely lovely man.

“I’ve had the ride of my life and I will never forget it and I am glad it ended there because you don’t want to see bad Sue.”

“I think the biggest thing is you feel very vulnerable,” the Eileen Grimshaw star reflected when chatting about her experience.

“Humans who don’t have control over things, things get to you.

“When one thing goes it is like dominos. It is tough in there.

“I have watched every season from the sofa and it looks so easy but you have got to live it to know what it is like.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs weekdays at 9.15pm on ITV.
