Michelle Keegan dons figure-hugging dress ahead of final Our Girl scenes

Michelle Keegan is set to take on the role as Corporal Georgie Lane for the final time in series four of the BBC hit show, Our Girl.

The former Coronation Street actress is bowing out of the show in which she plays a British Army Medic.

New pictures show the brunette babe out of her unflattering military uniform and donning a figure-hugging silk dress while attending a friends wedding.

Michelle, 32, is leaving the hit show in a bid to pursue other acting gigs as well as spending time with her husband, Mark Wright who shot to fame on The Only Way Is Essex.

Mark, 32, also moved back to the UK after spending time in Los Angeles working on US television.

Keegan had previously spent months filming in locations such as South Africa, Nepal and Malaysia.

The new snaps show Georgie (Michelle) chatting to her colleague Kingy (Rolan Bell) as well as acting as a bridesmaid for Fingers (Sean Ward) and Marie (Linzey Cocker).

However, she has also revealed that she will never say no to returning to Our Girl in the future.

Speaking to the Evening Standard reported: "You can never say it's forever, I just can't.

"It's really tough. I've done four series, and I just want to explore other opportunities, that's it.

"I love the show so much, and this show helped me grow into who I am now. I've had such an amazing time and I'm very lucky for them to have had me on the show.

"I'm going to miss it, and I'm going to miss Georgie. It's very hard."

The first and second series of Our Girl consisted of five episodes but series three was split into two parts, boasting 12 episodes.

It's believed that series four will consist of six parts.

Series four will see Georgie suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after she watched her fiance Elvis (Luke Pasqualino) die during their last tour of Afghanistan.

She added: "With this season, it's all about Georgie getting closure, she's still grieving for Elvis. Elvis died and she's not actually dealt with that."

Our Girl airs on Tuesday, March 24th at 9pm on BBC One
