Michael Keaton Declares Who The Best Batman Is

Much like Adam West before him, Michael Keaton was the definitive Batman for a generation. The Oscar-nominated actor has even poked fun at himself in the past for playing “the Batman card” with skits on SNL. Recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live, while promoting The Chicago 7, Keaton declared who he thought the best Batman was.

“Me,” Keaton exclaimed quickly. Keaton’s casting choice over 30 years ago was a unique one, which drew skeptical reactions from fans at the time. Obviously, Keaton’s casting was proven to be a risky move, but one that paid off and cemented his legacy as one of the all-time greats in comic book movie roles.

Keaton was also asked about his role in the upcoming Flash movie. Back in June, it was reported that he would return as the Dark Knight in a possible multiverse situation. While he didn’t confirm anything, he did say that there are talks going on currently.

“We’re having discussions, as they say,” he said. “We’re talking about it, we’ll see if it happens.” He also joked about having “all 127” Batmen in the movie as well. Back in August, director Flash director Andrew Muschietti said that Keaton’s role in the film would be “substantial” and confirmed that Ben Affleck would be coming back as well.
